FAQs

Having our patients feel comfortable before an office visit is important to us. Below are some frequently asked questions.

Dr. Kaye will perform a complete examination of your teeth, gums and jawbone, and discuss any of your dental needs or concerns.

Will periodontal treatment hurt?
Periodontal procedures are generally manageable with non-narcotic and antibiotic prescriptions. For patients with more discomfort, stronger prescriptions are available.

Can I eat after the procedure?
Yes, you will be able to eat after the procedure. We recommend that you eat a softer diet (i.e. chicken, fish, pasta)

Will I be able to work the next day?
Most of Dr. Kaye’s patients are able to go back to work the next day.

Will dental implant surgery be painful?
While everyone’s experience varies, most patients state that they have had little to no discomfort after implant surgery. Quote from one of our patients~”I’ve had several dental implants placed by Dr. Kaye and I did not need to take any pain medication”
